The National Weather Service reports the tornado hit Savage between 8-8:30 p.m.
Butch Renders, director of emergency services in Richland County, said there was also a report of a tornado 30 miles west of Sidney.
"That put us in a tornado warning," Renders said. Sirens were set up for the warning at about 9:50 p.m. Sunday.
Much of the area also received hail. The National Weather Service reported Sidney received hail that was just over a half-inch large.
Renders said he heard of crop damage west of Sidney due to hail and wind damage.
The National Weather Service reported 100-mile wind gusts near Wibaux. Windows were blown out of a house four miles west of Wibaux.
There was also a report of a possible tornado 16 miles southeast of Wibaux. One report said a 12-foot aluminum boat and a steel wheel barrel were each moved 60 yards during the storm.
