Middle school wrestlers compete at tournaments

Sidney’s Middle School wrestlers competed in a pair of tournaments recently. The first, a Nov. 27 meet at Miles City. The second, a tournament at Williston Saturday. Although no team trophies were awarded at Williston, Sidney captured a tournament championship at Miles City with 115 points. Miles City, with 75 points, placed second.

Individual results are as follows:

Miles City tournament

Winning individual championships in their respective weight classes were Chisum Lewis (65 pounds), Jordan Stevens (75 pounds), Spencer Brost (95 pounds), Clint Dunn (140 pounds), Carl Redman (215 pounds) and Allen Neulib (heavyweight).

Placing second were Austin Bridges (85 pounds), Scott Andreasen (105 pounds), Jace Buxbaum (115 pounds), Gene Speldrich (130 pounds) and Jory Stevens (171 pounds).

Third place was won by Travis Obergfell (100 pounds), Joe Barsotti (125 pounds) and Bobby Speldrich (152 pounds). Fourth place went to Jesse Ziler (95-pound B).

Williston tournament

Winning first place at Williston were Lewis (65 pounds), Stevens (75 pounds), Andreasen (110 pounds), Buxbaum (115 pounds), Dunn (140 pounds), Tyler Wacher (152 pounds) and Neulib (heavyweight).

Second place went to Bridges (85 pounds), Jake Lunderby (90 pounds) and Redman (heavyweight).

Placing third were Brost (95 pounds), Ziler (95-pound B), Barsotti (120 pounds) and Stevens (171 pounds). Obergfell (100 pounds) placed fourth while Lane Lysing (110-pound B) placed fifth.
