" At the grain terminal south of Fairview one of the large grain bins standing beside the elevator was blown over and destroyed by the wind. The other bin had the top blown off it and you could see the grain peaked up to the top. The area south of Fairview also sustained wind damage, heavy rain and some hail. Would love to have seen some pictures, also, of the damage in the rural area. "

" whats the difference between kids playing in the storm water and kids playing in the river or canals? theres probably more harmful stuff in both of them and im still alive, i grew up swimming in both with friends and none of us are sporting "the hills have eyes" looks..? im glad to see kids playing outside and getting themselves off the couch and away from their tv and video games for a change, maye rent your kids a swimming video game i guess thats much safer. "

" I heard a grain elevator was toppled at Fairview during this storm but haven't seen any photos? Is it true? It would be great if people could submit photos and the Herald could select some of them to include in the online album. "

" To the parents out there - Letting the youngsters play in the floodwater is not a good idea. Especially when you consider what is in that water (think about what your dog left on the tree and on the lawn) "
