There appears to be little news in the investigation of the murder of Wade Davidsen.

Davidsen, 47, was found dead from gunshot wounds in Fairview Oct. 20.

“Sooner or later, something will come about,” Fairview Police Chief Susan Quandt told the Herald this week. “I don’t get discouraged about these things. Sometimes it just takes a while.”

In January, the Davidsen family offered a reward of $10,000 for new information leading to the arrest and conviction of person or persons in the case.

Individuals with information can call Fairview Police Chief Susan Quandt at 406-742-5531, 406-742-5533, fax.

In the past, the police chief has asked the public for help if they have any information relating to the death.

“Anyone who had contact with him or knows about his activities Oct. 18-19, I want to hear from them,” Quandt said.

" There has been very little reported about this crime, which leads to some questions - Did the Fairview Police request assistance from other agencies, such as the State Crime Lab, and if not, why not? "

" I really wish we could find out who killed Wade. The fear we feel in this town will never be gone but maybe it will be eased a bit once this murder is solved.
Fairview is a close knit family and when someone dies we all take it to heart. When someone is murdered it is even more difficult to deal with. The not knowing is what is bringing everyone down.
To Wade's family I pray everyday that this case will be solved and you will all find peace.
We are all family in Fairview. Please don't ever forget that.
Most people absolutely loved Wade. He was a great guy and is still truly missed.
He was willing to do anything for anyone and would help those that needed help.
If anyone needed help doing anything Wade was the one they would call on. Be it to cut trees or just help side a building. We knew we could count on Wade.
God bless Wade's family and we will continue to give you all the support you need until the end of time.
Someday someone will remember something that they had forgotten before and even if it seems a bit unimportant to them it could be just what the investigators are looking for.
I have faith that one day soon it will be solved. Not as fast as we would like for it to be solved but soon it will be.
Love to you all and God Bless you all. "
