Florence A. Jenkins

Memorial services for Florence A. Jenkins, 71, Sidney, will be held at a later date in Amarillo, Texas.

Florence enjoyed working in the medical field the first half of her career. She loved to cook and try new recipes. She always cooked most of the family Thanksgiving dinner. She particularly liked to cook the turkey.

Florence was a strong independent lady who chose to live a quiet life in her later years. Her family always loved her.

Florence died on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at her home in Sidney.

Florence is survived by her sister, Betty (Bill) Casarez, Amarillo; a nephew, Clay Casarez, Marion, Ind.; and a great-niece, Kiona Casarez, Marion, Ind.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Elizabeth Jenkins.
