Kiwanis pie social

The Sidney Kiwanis Club will hold its annual pie social on the Richland County Courthouse lawn from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. The menu will include homemade pies, brats, baked beans, hot dogs, potato chips, pop and coffee.

Fair exhibit course

Residents are invited to a workshop teaching the basics of proper exhibition of vegetables at the county fair. The Richland County Fair and Rodeo in conjunction with the Richland County MSU Extension Office will host the event Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Fair Ag Building.

Ben Larson, MSU Extension – Richland County horticulture agent, will provide instruction and printed materials showing the best ways to show off your prize-winning vegetables.

Summer garden tour

The Boys & Girls Club of Richland County is planning a summer garden tour for July 19 from 1-4 p.m.

Tickets will be sold in the community for the garden tour as a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club.

Area gardeners will open their yard and/or garden area to ticket holders. This self-paced, self-guided tour is a wonderful opportunity to view different gardens in the Sidney area whether flower gardens, vegetable gardens or yards with interesting landscaping and garden statuary.

Tickets are $8 each or two for $15. Children under age 12 will be admitted free. Tickets can be purchased at the MonDak Heritage Center, Sidney Chamber, Stockman Bank, Wells Fargo and the Boys & Girls Club of Richland County.
