“Jaffy Gaffy” is now available through www.AuthorHouse.com. RaeDeen Heupel was enrolled in the Institute for Children’s Literature when she started writing this fifth- and sixth-grade book.

The main character, Jaffy, lives in the country and works with his family when he encounters an accident. He is an avid basketball player and cannot play the whole season.

Heupel is from Richey. She uses scenes from her rural upbringing in southwestern North Dakota and combines that with her experiences substitute teaching and has also developed some imaginary activities for Jaffy and his classmates.

“Jaffy Gaffy” has 15 chapters and is 53 pages. Readers will want to contact AuthorHouse to secure this “Jaffy Gaffy” story. This is the first book in a series. Jaffy will be moving to Montana soon.
