Lower Yellowstone Electric collected coats and food the month of October to celebrate co-op month, and it was once again a big success. This year LYREA had the largest number of coats donated. During the cold snap in mid-October, the Salvation Army in Sidney picked up the coats REA had collected up to that point, which was about the same amount as shown in the picture at the end of the drive. Also donated to the coat drive were scarves, gloves, hats and boots. The Richland County Food Bank received the donated food items. This is the fifth year LYREA has held the coat and food drive in conjunction with co-op month. REA officials say they cannot thank those of you that made the generous donations enough. It is amazing what a difference we can make by working together!
