Speech, drama teams earn top honors

Sidney High School’s team was first in speech for A schools and first in drama for A schools in Froid.

The drama team consisted of Tori Getchell, Jesse Staffanson, Katey Gustafson, Ciara Parks, Taylor Fay, Andi Brunsvold and Katie Staffanson.

In serious duo, two Sidney teams placed. Parks and Fay earned second. Brunsvold and Staffanson took seventh.

Speech team members included Kalen Hance, Michael Schmitt, Jacob McDonald and Carl Redman.

Schmitt earned second in extemporary speaking. Hance placed third in the category.

McDonald placed third in memorized public address.
