The coming of spring brings the thoughts of new beginnings, growth, prosperity and progress. The exciting hum can now be heard in anticipation for the change in seasons. Richland County is Montana’s 21st most populous county, with an estimated 9,295 residents. The Foundation for Community Care takes great pride in serving these residents by ensuring the continuance and quality of local health and medical care.

The Foundation for Community Care was founded by local folks who realized that our unique way of life in eastern Montana was enhanced by modern, quality health care. To ensure we would always have quality health care, they established a community savings account, called an endowment fund.

Some of the earnings from the endowment fund are awarded each year to fund area health care needs – 100 percent of every donation made to the Foundation for Community Care stays in our community.

Last year $185,557 was given back to our community. These resources touched an estimated 6,000 plus residents.

There are quantifiable and non-quantifiable benefits of becoming involved with a charity like the Foundation for Community Care. A business may find an enhanced relationship with the community where they do business and improve the ability to recruit and retain employees when a strong sense of corporate social responsibility is displayed.

Individuals can benefit by honoring a loved one, showing appreciation back to the charity that has shown them assistance in the past, and possibly supplementing their retirement income. One of the most popular benefits is having an end of year tax savings.

Visit the Foundation for Community Care’s Health Fair booth on March 16 to start planting the seeds for your financial wellness or stop by our office at 221 Second St. N.W. or call 406-488-2273. We will have information to share on bequests, gift annuities, charitable remainder trust and bargain sales. Each option offers a unique benefit for every donor.
