Arnold Thompson, 87, rural Culbertson, died Feb. 22 at the Roosevelt Memorial Nursing Home in Culbertson after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Sarah, two sons, two grandchildren and one brother, Clifford. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held Monday in Dane Valley. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter and two sons.

Women of the St. Bernard and St. Theresa met with Sisters Rita Rauschendorfer and Regina Murray at a workshop at Lambert Feb. 27.

Duane and Barbee Hekkel, north Culbertson, were visitors at Kris Steppler and boys one evening last week.

Jim and Mary Steppler returned from visiting their daughter Karla in Vancouver, Wash. They also visited Jim’s sister Gloria Paladichuk and her daughter, Deedra and Bernie Howes and boys, and her son, Brian and Katie Paladichuk and daughters. They also visited Mary’s niece Becki and Dan Chase and girls.

Basketball fans of this area attended the Boys Class C basketball state tournament in Billings last weekend. Culbertson won first place at the Eastern C divisional tournament in Malta last week. Cody Steppler, Mona, is the assistant coach of the Culbertson team.

Sheelah Prevost, Three Buttes, visited Dolores Irigoin and Frances Steppler Wednesday afternoon.

Kenny and Ginny Rindahl returned from Billings where Kenny had a medical appointment. They also visited their daughter and family while there.

David Kjelgaard, Prairie Elk community, visited his sister Kris Steppler, Mona, Monday.
