" Comments on the youtube video will no longer be accepted. The point has been made on both sides. Most importantly, is the support and healing for both Taylor and Jamie, that should be the focus right now. Please address your comments accordingly. "

" Like always, I would imagine that 99% of you complaining about the fact that "someone" called the school and complained about the video never even seen it! Well I did see it and I will post my "two cents" about it. First of all, the video was a great idea but it should have been proofed by a teacher before it was put out on the internet for alot of reasons, would you like to watch the video and see your son roll behind a female teacher and put his hand on her breast or how about the teacher who "lightly hits" the child on the back of the head and tells him to say something. These a just a few of the things that should have been edited out and then the video would have been appropriate. So SHAME ON the advisor/teacher for not paying more attention and making sure the video was appropriate. There are many ways of dealing with a tragedy and everybody has their own way but don't slam people for things until you know the whole story!! My family and I are praying for you Taylor and I know God has a greater plan for you! Stay strong! "

" Lambert Resident, I agree, this video was a way for the students to pull together and support Taylor. And yes, Jamie needs a LOT of support right now also, which these students understand and are giving. Jamie was a part of the video process. We all love Jamie and will support her in any way possible. "

" I am just reading about the video and I don't have any comment about it. I think we as a community should pull together and support Taylor and her family. We also should be giving some of our attention to Jamie. I am sure she could use our love and support also. "

Like the video idea wrote on Mar 11, 2010 8:53 PM:

" As a community member, and from what my kids told me about school on Monday, I was PLEASED with the way the administration and teachers supported and cared for the students on Monday and in fact, as they do every day. I'm not a teacher, or employed by the school, but I imagine Monday was an extremely difficult and teary day. Through that whole range of emotions one thing was apparently evident to some of the teachers; this was a time for the community to support each other and especially the students. Kids do things and communicate in ways that are unique to their generation: YouTube, Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, etc. What a natural way for the students to show their love and support, by using a media format like video on YouTube. From what I understand, the kids were doing this for Taylor and it was an action they could take to hopefully make a difference. AMEN that we had some equipment the kids could use! If there was even just one little part of that video that would make Taylor smile and help get her through her recovery, it was a project well done and a few hours of time well spent. Despite the fact that it was taken down, I applaud the teachers or students that came up with the idea.

And, there are a group of students and young alumni that are planning a benefit "Play for Tay". Good Job! "

Happy Joe wrote on Mar 11, 2010 7:44 PM:

" My best wishes to Tay and her family. With all of this going on why would someone in the community get so petty about some of the videos content. The kids did it with the best of intentions, to cheer up their friend. We should keep this in mind, it was for Tay and it would have made her happy and laugh. Why could'nt the complainer have understood the bigger picture, it was not for you (complainer)it was for Tay. "

Tax Payer wrote on Mar 11, 2010 3:18 PM:

" Well put Best Wishes! To take this subject a little further, I was told by a family member that they thought the video was great and that Taylor was going to love it when she was able to watch it, which now will not happen. To the person who complained about this, we believe you should find something better to do with your time than to find ways to make these kids more miserable. The students at Lambert Schools have been through more traumas and grief than any person should have to endure in a lifetime, let them express themselves as a way of dealing and healing. Also, as citizens of Lambert, we all know that we have had ZERO mils for the past several years, so we do not believe the equipment used was paid for by tax dollars! And as for doing it on school time, get real, Monday morning at Lambert High School was not a time for learning, it was used as a short time for healing. "

" For the person who complained about the video being made for my niece SHAME ON YOU if it was one of your family members wouldn't you want something nice like that to be done? "

Taylor On My Mind wrote on Mar 11, 2010 12:36 PM:

" Well put Best of Wishes! To take ths a little further, I was told by a family member of Taylor's how awesome they thought this video was and how much they knew Taylor was going to enjoy it, which now she will not see it. To the person who complained about it, we sincerely hope your family never has to go through a devastating period such as this. These kids in Lambert need to be able to express themselves in any way posible, they have been through more devasting times than any person should have to endure in a lifetime. As citizens of Lambert,we all know that we have had ZERO mils for several years now, so we do not believe the equipment used was bought with taxpayers money. As far as doing this during school time, GET REAL, Monday was not a day for school work in Lambert.
PS The students who made these videos have put them on CD's and are delivering them to Taylor this weekend! "

" Hopefully the individual who complained about this so it had to be removed will never have a loved one in this predicament needing the love and support of their peers and family. Wow, that has to be someone with absolutely no compassion for what this girl and her family are going through right now. Better hope they never have to go through an ordeal like this. My best to Taylor and her family and hope she gets to go to a great rehab facility. "

The best of wishes to Taylor wrote on Mar 10, 2010 10:05 PM:

" this has been a truly trying situation for everyone involved. especially the other students in the Lambert School. To keep everyone's spirits up some of the students were making a video for Taylor that told her all the students and teachers were missing her and hoped to see her soon. It was posted on U-Tube for all of 2 days before someone called and said it was wrong because it was made with the schools equipment and during school time. That is a minor thing in my mind in comparison to the heartache that everyone is feeling. When you think of all the time students miss for sports and such how could anyone complain about a support video. The video was made to take to Taylor, however no visitors were allowed, yet an internet connection was to be made into Taylor's room. Her family thought she would enjoy the contact. What a petty thing to complain about!!! As a taxpayer I personally was glad to see all of this equipment our school bought actually being used! "
