Sidney gymnasts place at Bismarck meet

The Sidney Gymnastics Competition Team traveled to Bismarck, N.D., Feb. 20 for the Julie Ziegler Memorial meet. The scores were as follows:

Level four

Riley Thiessen: Vault 9.0, bars 8.25, beam 8.5, floor 8.70, all-around 34.45, 10th place.

Shawnee Tyler: Vault 9.4, bars 8.0, beam 9.0, floor 8.40, all-around 34.8, seventh place.

Level five

Madison Thiessen: Vault 8.35, bars 8.0, beam 8.05, floor 8.70, all-around 33.10, 20th place.

Faith Vitt: Vault 8.10, bars 5.20, beam 6.60, floor 7.70, all-around 27.60, 47th place.

Level six

Harmonie Hampton: Vault 8.65, bars 6.10, beam 8.70, floor 8.05, all-around 31.50, 13th place.

On Feb. 27 the team competed in Billings for the Yellowstone Invitational. The scores were as follows:

Level four

Riley Thiessen: Vault 8.70, bars 8.40, beam 8.0, floor 7.90, all-around 33.0, ninth place.

Hannah Hasvold: Vault 8.40, bars 8.30, beam 8.30, floor 8.15, all-around 33.15, 21st place.

Katrina Meldahl: Vault 8.65, bars 8.20, beam 8.20, floor 8.0, all-around 33.05, 23rd place.

Shawnee Tyler: Vault 8.40, bars 9.0, beam 8.80, floor 7.20, all-around 33.40, fourth place.

Level five

Madison Thiessen: Vault 7.60, bars 8.0, beam 8.75, floor 8.45, all-around 32.80, 12th place.

Desirae Fasching: Vault 7.85, bars 8.30, beam 8.40, floor 8.25, all-around 32.80, seventh place.

Faith Vitt: Vault 7.65, bars 6.20, beam 8.0, floor 7.45, all-around 29.30, 14th place.

Ashley Ray: Bars 5.10, beam 7.0, floor 7.0, all-around 19.10, 15th place.

Level six

Harmonie Hampton: Vault 7.25, bars 7.20, beam 8.525, floor 8.30, all-around 31.275,13th place.

The team will compete next at the state meet in Helena March 19-20.
