Air Force honor

The Air Force Academy recognized a Sidney native as one of its best during an annual awards ceremony held recently.

Master Sgt. Robert S. Pemberton, a 1993 graduate of Sidney High School, was named the Academy’s 2009 Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year. Pemberton is a military trainer at the Academy, located seven miles north of Colorado Springs, Colo.
