Sidney Area Special Olympics will host an informal information session with Bob Norbie, president and CEO of Special Olympics Montana, on Thursday.

The meeting is at the Sidney/Richland County Library basement at 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Special Olympics Montana periodically re-examines its long-range plan to ensure that the program is meeting the needs of its participants and is supported by sufficient resources.

In addition to coming to Sidney, Norbie will be meeting with Special Olympics participants statewide to further structure Special Olympics Montana’s 10-year mission, so it can make the most impact throughout the state.

Anyone who cares about the mission of Special Olympics Montana – including athletes, families, volunteers, coaches, sponsors, agency, donors, and community members – is encouraged to attend.

If you are unable to attend, but would like your voice to be heard, please complete an online survey at http://www.somt/org/media/pr2010SWOTsurvey.html

Directly following the information session, a brief meeting will be held for people interested in volunteering at Special Olympics Regional Games April 29-30 in Sidney.

If you are unable to attend or would like to learn more about volunteering, please contact Lacy Hutchens, local program coordinator, at 488-3341 ext. 3 or sidneysomt@hotmail.com.
