You may have heard that by filling out your 2010 Census, you are letting the federal government know how much money to give back to your area.
But what money is coming back? Where did this money come from?
The money that we receive back from the government, based upon the numbers gathered during the census, is not new money. It is money that we have already paid in taxes to the government coming back to our communities.

This money goes to important programs like highway planning and construction, medical assistance programs and rural education. And, best of all, the 2010 Census is only 10 questions. By taking just 10 minutes to answer 10 questions, you are letting the federal government know how much money to give back to our community.

Census - counting wrote on Mar 24, 2010 3:27 PM:
That being said, why on earth do they need my name, race and/or phone number?
That is not required for counting.
I think this census is set up this way so that the government has even more control over people and I think they want to create a law for a second language. Wonder which one it will be.
To have money distributed in the city/town, county or state, they need to know a number and where they are. That is it. Names and race are not needed for this. Birthdays and phone numbers are not needed for this. And then to say it is a "law" that you have to fill it out? Are they crazy? Working people are paying taxes, they know where they are. Non-working are recieving benefits,(unemployment or welfare) they know where they are as well. Seniors are recieving Social Security, they know where they are. Children are registered in school, so they know where they are. HMMMM, that leaves only children not in school and the rich that don't recieve Social Secirity or pay taxes. Oh and the illegals, i almost forgot them.
So the first question should be "Are you employed or recieving any government benefits?" If you answered yes, return and skip all other questions. "
