Hospice to host teleconference Wednesday

Sidney Health Center Hospice will host a National Bereavement Teleconference presented by Hospice Foundation of America on Wednesday in the Sidney Health Center Telemed Room.

The topic will be, “Living with Grief: Cancer and End-of-Life Care.” A free lunch will be served from 11-11:30 a.m. with the teleconference starting at 11:30 a.m. and ending at approximately 2 p.m.

The 2010 teleconference will address care options related to cancer diagnoses as well as loss and grief reactions for patients, families and professional caregivers. The teleconference will also examine psychosocial aspects of cancer, pain management and ethical issues related to the disease. The teleconference will be broadcast live-via-webcast and satellite.

This seminar is free to the public. To register, please call the Hospice office at 488-2226.
