Aug. 20

At 3:45 p.m., Arthur Wayne Berry, 69, Sidney, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants at the 700 block of Fourth St. S.E. He was incarcerated in lieu of a $685 bond.

Aug. 21

At 12:30 a.m., police received a hit and run report. While getting information, a 17-year-old male from Fairview and Dawson G. Nunn, 18, Sidney, were charged with possession of intoxicants while under 21. The 17 year old was released to parents. Nunn was cited into Sidney City Court and released with notice to appear. The hit and run is still under investigation.

Aug. 22

At 8:15 p.m., officers arrested Michael James Driskell, 26, Billings, and charged him with public drunkenness after they received a report that he was laying on the ground at the 1400 block of 11th Ave. S.W. Bond was set at $50.

At midnight, a 14-year-old girl was charged with curfew violation after officers saw her near the water tower park. She was released to her parents.

Aug. 24

At 2:25 p.m., officers responded to a report of an accident at the intersection of 14th Street and South Central Avenue. A vehicle traveling south on Central failed to stop at a red light and struck a van with three passengers, which was east bound on 14th Street S.W. After being struck, the van collided with a third vehicle which was north bound on Central. Subsequently, Steven F. Schreder, 68, Billings, was cited for failure to stop at a red light. Three were taken to Sidney Health Center but none were admitted. There were no serious injuries.

At 7 p.m., Cody Grinnell, 18, Sidney, was arrested by virtue of a City Court warrant that charged him with failure to appear in court. He was incarcerated in lieu of a $250 bond.

At 10:25 p.m., Travis John Jenson, 25, Sidney, was arrested by virtue of a City Court warrant that charged him with failure to appear. He was released after posting the $250 bond and given notice to appear.

Aug. 25

At 2 a.m., Jolene Ray Reedy, 24, Sidney, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants and driving without a valid driver’s license after officers investigated a traffic violation. She was incarcerated in lieu of a $920 bond.

At 9:45 p.m., Travis Joseph Schumacker, 28, Sidney, was arrested by virtue of a City Court warrant that charged him with issuing bad checks. He was released after posting the $270 bond and given notice to appear.

At 9 p.m., Hugo Pieter Van Zyl, 31, Sidney, was arrested by virtue of a City Court warrant that charged him with issuing bad checks. He was incarcerated in lieu of a $320 bond.

At 8:50 p.m., Ed Vandervoort, 49, Sidney, was arrested by virtue of a City Court warrant that charged him with issuing bad checks. He was incarcerated in lieu of a $535 bond.

Aug. 26

At 12:50 a.m., Stephanie Ann Berg, 31, Sidney, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants and operating with expired registration after officers saw her commit a traffic violation. She was incarcerated in lieu of a $1,170 bond.
