Trinity Lutheran Church, Sidney, will host its annual German Meal Sept. 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The meal will feature homemade bratwurst, fleischkeuchle, creamy and fried Chicken, potatoes, German potato salad, fresh vegetables, homemade kuchen and refreshments.
Cost of the meal is $9 for adults, $6 for children ages 4 to 12, and children under 4 eat for free.
Proceeds from this year’s event will be given locally to the Foundation for Community Care’s Cancer Center Fund,
www.foundationforcommunitycare.org, and nationally to the Orphan Grain Train,
http://www.ogt.org, whose stated mission is “In loving response to Christ, the Servant, the Orphan Grain Train movement encourages and enables God’s people to share personal and material resources in bringing Christ’s name and character to needy people both far and near. Sometimes that character expresses itself as a word well-spoken, sometimes as a bandage well-applied and sometimes as a child well-fed.”
