Funeral services for Eva Goodwin, 92, Glendive, formerly of Sidney, was at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, at the Fulkerson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Vicki Waddington of the Lonsdale United Methodist Church officiating.

Music was provided by Virginia Herrick and Deniece Schwab. Casketbearers were Rocky Cowell, Shawn Cowell, Scott Cowell, Ryan Cowell and Dereck Sanders. Honorary casketbearers were all of Eva’s many friends. Interment was in the Richland Memorial Park Cemetery, Sidney, under the direction of the Fulkerson Funeral Home of Sidney. Eva was born Nov. 25, 1917, to William and Clara (Crawford) Lowry on the family homestead in the Three Buttes Community. She grew up in the Three Buttes Community and attended schools in the area.

Eva was united in marriage to Paul Goodwin on Sept. 2, 1944, in Circle. After the marriage, they made their home on the Goodwin family homestead in the Enid Community.

In 1951, they moved to Poplar, and they moved back to Sidney in 1967. Her husband, Paul, died in February 1992, and Eva continued to live in Sidney. Due to failing health, Eva entered the Glendive Medical Center Extended Care facility.

Eva enjoyed baking bread, canning, crocheting and making doilies.

Eva died Saturday morning, Sept. 4, 2010, at the Glendive Medical Center.

Now after 92 wonderful years of life filled with both joys and sorrows … go with God. We are really going to miss you Ma.

Eva is survived by her son of the heart, Scott “son John” (Nancy) Cowell, Glendive; many greatly loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents; husband Paul; all of her brothers and sisters, Emma, Mary, Albert, Cyrus, William, Ray, Ira, Carl, Dorothy, Tena, Fred, Julia and her twin stillborn sisters.
