Detailed specifications may be secured by prospective bidders from the Superintendent's office during regular school hours. These specifications include a copy of the Fairview School Bus Contract, which is an integral part of the specifications.

The Fairview School Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to award the contracts to the bidder(s) considered to be the most suited to the needs of the school district, and further to waive informalities.

Operating and Capital Assistance

This is to notify all interested parties that Richland County Transportation Service (RCTS) is applying for $179,118.73 under the Montana Department of Transportation's Operating Grant Program. Funding will be used for operating expenses associated with providing transportation services to the general public, elderly, and persons with disabilities within Richland County. RCTS is also applying for $167,500 through a capital assistance grant. The capital assistance grant is funded by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and administered by the Montana Department of Transportation. FTA funds will be used to purchase a 10-passenger bus with six wheelchair stations and a 6-passenger mini-van conversion two wheelchair stations for providing transit service to the residents of Richland County. Included in the total of the capital assistance application are funds to enclose two bus ports located at 1101 Silurian Ln and 390 22nd Ave NW, both in Sidney, MT, to better shelter vehicles and provide passengers at those locations a place to load and unload during adverse weather. Both applications are on file at 1201 W Holly, Ste 1, Sidney, MT 59270. Lifeline provides Federal Universal Service support to reduce monthly service charges paid by qualifying low-income customers.
