The E-rase your E-waste committee thanks everyone who participated in our 2012 “E-rase your E-waste” e-cycling events. We’ve had another great year, with a grand total of 57,939 pounds of e-waste collected for recycling! That’s nearly 30 tons that didn’t go into our local landfill again this year!
Our thanks to everyone who made it possible: our participants, our amazing volunteers, our local media in both print and broadcast, our sponsors and our e-cycler, UNICOR, which enables us to provide our e-cycling for free.
Thanks everyone for your unwavering support of this unique community effort!
The organizing committee also wants to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Richland County Solid Waste, Sidney Health Center, Sidney Sugars, Richland Opportunities Inc., and the Montana Department of Environmental Quality for providing the space, packaging materials and promotional support for this year’s event.
And last, but definitely not least, we want to extend a big, big thank you to our many volunteers who helped pack all those pallets, including our seniors with the RSVP program who have been stalwart participants over the years; our students with the Sidney High School Key Club, and our newest helpers this year, the local Juvenile Probation Office and its community service students. They all worked extremely hard on this community effort. Our sincere thanks to you all! There’s no way we could have done it without you! Our sincere thanks to you all. There’s no way we could have done it without you!
Again, thanks to everyone for making the 2012 “E-rase your E-waste” effort another huge success! As always, we look forward to working with you again next year!
