Paws in the Patch – a place to get your dog groomed – opened in Sidney Monday at 204 Second Ave. N.E., the former food bank building.
Owner Judy Smith has seven years of grooming experience. She worked at a grooming shop in Miles City before her husband was transferred by Sanjel Corporation to Williston, N.D. She then groomed in Williston until the owner closed the shop.
“I looked to open one over here (Sidney). My husband works here, and I know they needed one,” Smith said.
Her services include full cuts, bath and brush, nails, glands and painting nails
She says a FURminator treatment can reduce a dog’s shedding by 60-80 percent if performed monthly.
Paws in the Patch also offers Lupine collars. They are guaranteed even if they are chewed.
Smith says she has always loved dogs. “I grew up on a farm.”
The business is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For an appointment, call 433-PAWS (7297).
