The Sidney Wrestling Club had an busy weekend as the club traveled to four separate tournaments in three states.

A group of 11 wrestlers traveled to Denver to compete at the Rocky Mountain Nationals, where two wrestlers placed in the top six of the 15 and under division. Cody Christian earned fourth place at 152 pounds and Christian Gomez took sixth at heavyweight. Also making the trip were Reece Graves, Aden Graves, Kade Graves, Cody Johnson, Ethan Graves, Braydn Rooks, Dace Fisher, Jordan Stevens and Brody Rooks.

A larger group of 29 wrestlers traveled to the AAU Black Hills World Nationals in Spearfish, S.D., where 20 wrestlers found success in the top eight.

First-place winners at this national tournament were Trace Jones, Riley Waters and Trevor Dean. Ryan Chatterton, Kelton LeFors, Waylon VanBuren and Christian Dean all took third place. Brodie Gorder, Josh Aisenbrey and Riley Chatterton earned fourth. Taking fifth were Zander Dean and Everett Jensen. Sixth place went to Jett Jones, Brady Gorder, Casey Christian and Jace Winter. Erick Serrra and Wyatt VanBuren placed seventh and Jace Johnson and Owen Lonski each placed eighth.

At the local level, the club had members attending the Circle Mix-n-Match Sunday, while a larger group went to Wolf Point for an invitational tournament.

Earning first place in Wolf Point were Gavin Skoy, tot, Kolby Hutzenbiler, midget, Boston Peters, midget, Cole McLarney, midget, and Hunter Nice, schoolboy. Earning second were Lance Allen, tot, Kobe Hambro, bantam, Kevin Hutzenbiler, bantam, Ben Carlsen, bantam, Cooper McNally, bantam, Tucker Nevins, midget, Cash Cundiff, midget, and Christian Eggar, cadet. Third-place finishers were Jaiden Gustafson, tot, Garrett Larson, bantam, Dillon Skoy, bantam, Garrett Strauser, bantam, Blake Benson, midget, Kade Rindahl, midget, and Trey Schepens, midget. Earning fourth place were Cayden Hambro, tot, Aaron See, tot, Chance Reed, bantam, and Jayden Earles, bantam. Finishing fifth were Beau Rindahl, tot, Nathan Carlsen, tot, and Caleb Kutzler, tot.
