Rising Above the River will feature a night of entertainment starting at 6 p.m. at the Richland Youth Hockey Building, with proceeds to help families in the Fairview-Cartwright area affected by recent flooding. Dueling Pianos, and two bands from Fairview will perform. There will be a buffet, late night snacks from the Cutting Edge Dance Boosters, and a silent and live auction. Tickets $25 each. Annual Letter Carriers’ Food Drive. Place your non-perishable donation in a bag by your mailbox, and your letter carrier will pick it up and deliver it to a local food bank. There are also drop-off locations for those without a letter carrier from May 5 through May 11 at Miller’s Corner, Reynold’s and IGA.
Spring Fling, semi-formal dance, 7 p.m. at St. Matthew's Parish Center in Sidney, for grades 6, 7 and 8. $10 per person. Modest attire only. No shorts, pants, blue jeans. Lock-in for safety.
