Public Notice ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID Separate sealed bids for the Richland County, Montana Road Improvements 2022 Project will be received at the office of the Richland County Commissioners Attn: Clerk and Recorder, 201 W Main St, Sidney, MT 59270, until 2:30 p.m. (Mountain Time), January 31, 2022. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly thereafter. The Project consists of: Chip sealing, overlaying, and other road maintenance on various roads in Richland County. Total length of roadway is approximately 33.4 miles. Digital copies of the Bidding Documents are available at or for a fee of $30.00. These documents may be downloaded by selecting this project from the “Bid Documents” tab and by entering the Quest Project Number 8103031 on the “Search Projects” page. CONTRACTOR and any of the CONTRACTOR's subcontractors doing work on this project will be required to obtain registration with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Forms for registration are available from the Department of Labor and Industry, P.O. Box 8011, 1805 Prospect Avenue, Helena, Montana 59604-8011. CONTRACTOR is required to have registered with the DLI prior to bidding on this project and must have registered prior to execution of the Construction Agreement. All laborers and mechanics employed by the CONTRACTOR or subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at the Montana Prevailing Wage Rates. The CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond payable to Richland County, Montana, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance, as required, shall be provided by the successful Bidder(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. There will be no pre-bid conference for this project. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of bids, which is 2:30 p.m. local time, January 31 st , 2022. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interests of the OWNER.
