Buck Boles, the Executive vice president of the Sidney Chamber of Commerce, had been elected vice president of the Montana Chamber of Commerce at a convention in Rapid City, South Dakota for chamber executives. He had been at the Sidney Chamber for over three years and was the state treasurer the year before.

In sports

Jean Carpenter, a member of the Sidney girls’ golf team, won with a score of 195 on 36 holes on Billings Lake Hills Course. She shot a 104 on the first day and a 91 on the second day. This was the first time a Sidney student had placed so high in a state competition, the Eastern Divisional.

25 years May 28,1995 In the news

Megan Thompson, who was run over by a school bus while on her way to school on Wednesday, May 3, was finally able to go home. She even went back to Central Elementary school to see her classmates. Megan was part of Sidney’s swim team.

In sports

The Sidney Country Club held its junior golf academy on June 2. Lessons were held on Fridays from June 2–14. The entry fee was $25 that included entry to golf tournaments as well as prizes.

10 years May 26, 2010 In the news

Sidney High School Class of 1950 had its 60th reunion on Aug. 3 at Veterans Memorial Park. A catered picnic took place as well as some time for visiting.
