The love from God is truly an amazing gift. It reaches to all mankind to offer salvation. “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
There is never a person that is out of the reach of the love and grace of God. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) Paul goes on to tell us in that same chapter of Romans, “...But where sin abounded grace did much more abound.” (Romans 5:20b)
It is wonderful that God would reach down to mankind when they rejected His authority from the beginning.
Adam and Eve believed the lie of Satan and disobeyed God thinking they could become just like God. Instead of condemning man for all eternity, God provided a way of reconciliation through Jesus Christ.
“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ,....,To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself,...” (II Cor. 5:18-19)
God had created man for fellowship with himself. So when man’s sin separated them, God did what only He could do to bring man back to fellowship.
“Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” (I John 4:10) God provided the way and means for man to live in communion with Him. Through Jesus Christ we can experience the love, peace and grace of God.
God’s love not only provided the means of salvation, but it also will keep those who have put their faith and trust in Him.
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39) Yes, the love of God is truly amazing.
