OUTDOORS ROUNDUP:

DIG IN.  The cattail is an incredible plant and a forager’s dream with edible parts from tip to root.  Edible Wild Food breaks down this ubiquitous wetland plant and provides some history as to its use and the things that can be made from the cattail.

PRONGHORN PROGNOSTICATING.  The NDG&F Dept. showcases a rebounding pronghorn population in its weekly webcast, as more than 1,300 tags will be available to hunters this fall.

BLAZIN’ DAYS.  The weekend will once again sport warm weather as we eclipse 90 degrees on Sunday.  Today and tomorrow will be in the mid-80s with light south winds, about as ideal of a summer weekend as one could get.
