OUTDOORS ROUNDUP:

HEY WARDEN!  The NDG&F Dept. details the wide and varied duties of a game warden in this week’s North Dakota Outdoors web short.  Kylor Johnston shares the interactions and the details of his work with hunters and anglers in the state.

MN MOOSE REMAIN LOW.  Minnesota DNR surveys showed an estimate of 3,150 moose this winter in the tallied area of more than 6,000 square miles.  That total is nearly just a third of what the population was in 2006, when brainworm and other disease began impacting the state’s herd.

HUNTING POACHERS.  The Montana Dept. of Fish Wildlife and Parks is seeking information on elk and pronghorn poachers, along with information on those who may have illegally shot tundra swans last month in the state.  Private individuals have contributed to the reward for the big game case.
