Sidney’s Tami Christensen was elected as the Montana Chamber Foundation’s president at its annual meeting on Oct. 25 in Great Falls.

Rick Edwards of NorthWestern Energy completed two years as president and will continue as past-president. Webb Brown of the Montana Chamber of Commerce in Helena will continue as the executive director/secretary/treasurer.

Christensen, who owns Tri-County Implement, Inc., has been on the Foundation Board since 2011 and served as chair of the board of directors of the Montana Chamber of Commerce 2011-2012.

“Tami was an excellent leader when she was chair of the board,” Brown said. “That leadership will serve us well as the Montana Chamber continues to make progress on our 10-year strategic plan, Envision 2026.”

The mission of the Montana Chamber Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit is to educate Montanans about the fundamentals of business operations, business needs and responsibilities, and contributions of business to society.

The foundation promotes and improves the economic development opportunities of the state and its communities by participating in educational projects and research.

A new tax study will be part of that research effort.
