The largest variety of entertainment for the event in some time will take the stage during this year’s Sunrise Festival of the Arts in Sidney on Saturday, July 13. From a fashion show to historical music to current music, all that entertainment and more will be offered on the stage during the annual event at Veterans Memorial Park. A fashion show featuring items from area boutiques is scheduled from 12:20 — 1 p.m. on the stage. This first-time program will demonstrate the options that shoppers have in Sidney. Other entertainment includes Leif Halvorson and Cedric Halvorson performing their highly regarded “Eric and Artie of the Upper Missouri” act from 1 — 1:20 p.m. The Halvorson brothers provide authentic fur trade era and other 19th century music along with historical information in a delightful format. Outstanding young pianist Felixe Becker will entertain the crowd from 8:40 — 9 a.m. A traditional highlight is a performance from the Sunrise Brass group. The band will perform from 11 — 11:45 a.m. this year. The Sunrise Festival of the Arts is also a time for area youngsters to show off their talents. Performances will include the Cutting Edge Dance Studio from 9:30-9:50 a.m., Sidney Tendo from 10:30-10:50 a.m. and the Sidney Gymnastics Club from 11:55 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The day of fun on the stage will begin with Anya Schwartz of The Merge offering yoga/barre flow instruction from 7:40 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Other entertainment includes Blake Benson providing rap music from 9:05 — 9:25 a.m., Vernon Milender singing from 10 — 10:20 a.m., Justin Redick offering guitar/singing entertainment from 1:30 — 1:50 p.m., A Capital in Ruin providing soft rock from 2:30 — 3:30 p.m. and Jordyn Flournoy singing from 3:40 — 4 p.m.
