June 23

12:11 a.m. — Sidney Police Department (SPD) responded to a report of intoxicated juvenile by the parent. No arrest was made and upon follow-up, police found no criminal offenses took place in city limits. The case was handed over to the sheriff’s department for investigation.

1:49 a.m. — Richland County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) responded to a call concerning a fight at the fairgrounds. Upon arrival, deputies discovered an individual fighting with his family, stating he just wanted to go back to his camper and be left alone.

1:50 p.m. — SPD attempted to serve a felony warrant at the 1200 block of 16 Street SW. The offender was not located.

June 24

1:51 p.m. — SPD responded to a call of a reckless driver on Holly and Central Avenue. The vehicle was reportedly drifting and spinning on the road and in the intersection. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

2:40 p.m. — SPD responded to a disturbance call at a business on the 200 block on North Central Avenue. A customer was screaming at employees, but had already fled the scene when officers arrived. The business declined to pursue charges.

4:05 p.m. — RCSO responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle on County Road (CR) 128 and CR 344. The caller said a white Dodge pickup was parked at the end of their driveway and appeared to be taking photos for an hour at a time in the middle of the day. Deputies could not locate the vehicle and told the caller to notify law enforcement if spotted again.

June 25

4:43 a.m. — RCSO responded to a call of a reckless driver going north on CR 350. A white sedan was seen speeding up, braking, turning into a field and backing out. Deputies could not locate the vehicle.

9:11 a.m. — SPD performed a welfare check on the 200 block of 9th Avenue NW at the request of a caller. Contact was made with the occupant of the home.

4:22 p.m. — Fairview Police Department contacted SPD to notify them of a wanted person en route to Sidney. Officers located the woman and arrested her on a probation pick up and hold warrant. She was also charged with obstructing a peace officer.

June 27

2:51 p.m. — SPD responded to a vandalism call for a broken window on the 200 block of 7th Avenue NE. A report was obtained, but no arrests were made.

5:59 p.m. — SPD attempted to serve a felony warrant on the 1200 block of 16th Street SW. The offender was not located.

June 28

1:10 a.m. — RCSO responded to a call for a wanted person and abuse at CR 352 and Highway 201 near Fairview. Upon arrival to the scene, deputies found a family altercation between a son and father. The son, age 38, had assaulted another male victim during the fight, a 45-year-old male. The offender already had a warrant for his arrest for a previous offense. Deputies were unable to arrest the offender, as he had fled the scene.

2:11 p.m. — SPD located an offender at the South 40. He was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant from district court in Billings. He was also charged with criminal possession of dangerous drugs, third or subsequent offense.

7:27 p.m. — SPD responded to an assault call at Main Stay Hotel. A man was attacking a woman on the third floor. The man was arrested for partner family member assault and obstructing a peace officer, as well as an extrajurisdictional warrant.

June 30

1:40 a.m. — SPD responded to a disorderly conduct call at the South 40, where reportedly two or three males were in a shoving match out front. Officers made contact with two of the males, who were identified and warned.

2:40 a.m. — SPD officers were flagged down while sitting in their vehicles near the 100 block of East Main Street. Customers exiting Sunny’s restaurant stated an incident may be occurring inside. Officers spoke with staff and found no issues.

1:57 p.m. — RCSO responded to a call of an intoxicated person on CR 122. Deputies arrived to find two women in a verbal dispute, as one wanted a ride to Town Pump, but everyone at the home was too intoxicated to drive her. The dispute was resolved without law enforcement involvement.

4:48 p.m. — SPD performed a welfare check on a 10-year-old boy at the request of the non-custodial parent. Officers spoke with custodial parent and child. Both were fine and no further action was taken.

11:26 p.m. — SPD responded to a trespassing call at the 2100 block of Sunflower Lane. Officers made contact with two suspect, who were found smoking marijuana in a vehicle. They were charged with drug possession and paraphernalia.
