The Richland County Safety Committee met Tuesday to discuss the improvements and progressive measures they are taking to create a culture of safety within the county government departments and amongst county employees. Safety may not appear to be on people’s minds, but it is on those of the committee members.

“I think that we have to have a good safety culture within Richland County and for our employees. I think that we strive to do that. But obviously, we run into roadblocks, like any other business,” Richland County sheriff John Dynneson said. “We try to come up with new ideas to make it better not only our employees, but maybe we can encourage the rest of the community to be safe in the things that they do.”
