Riverbank erosion results in walk-in only access at Snowden Bridge Fishing Access Site

Unfortunately, Snowden Bridge FAS has lost a lot of riverbank acreage over the last decade, both from ice jams in the spring and changing river flows. The roundabout, picnic and camping sites, fire rings, and latrine have been altered or moved several times. Furthermore, the boat ramp has required constant maintenance and has been moved several times.

The public is asked to use extreme caution this spring when accessing FWP sites such as fishing access sites, wildlife management areas, state parks, and any other areas near rivers or streams.  Flood and ice jam water elevations change rapidly, and some sites may become partially or fully submerged by flood waters within minutes or hours.
