Athlete of the Week Owen Lonski

After a successful wrestling career, Lonski was a part of the dominant-run Eagles Wrestling when the school won five straight team state championships. Lonski contributed to three of those and helped the team earn a top five placement in the tournament this year when the team placed fourth. This year in the state tournament, Lonski placed third in 138. 

Individually Lonski will be leaving the Eagles with four state placements, four finals appearances, and three team state championships. 

"Owen is one of the hardest workers we've had," Coach Ty Graves said. "He'll take that dedication and drive with him to Mary and continue his dogged pursuit of success. Mary has to be excited to work with an athlete like Owen because the sky-is the limit when you aren't afraid to work hard. He'll continue his success at the next level just as he did the past four years. It's been a pleasure to help coach this fine young man."
