The Fairview Warriors knocked off a young Savage squad, 59-4, in boys basketball play in Fairview on Friday.
Fairview scored the game’s first 42 points and led 42-1 at the half.
Fairview jumped out to a 12-0 lead during the first four minutes on three baskets by Josh Herron and hoops by Cody Asbeck, Lak Kloker and Alex Schriver.
The scoring of Herron and Schriver highlighted the rest of the quarter as Fairview gained a 26-0 advantage.
Three steals and layups by Luke Lebsock and two baskets by Brady Buxbaum helped increase Fairview’s lead to 42-0. Savage got on the scoreboard when Gage Bloesser hit a free throw with three seconds left in the half.
Fairview led 55-4 at the end of the third quarter.
Top scorers for Fairview were Trevor Karst with 10 and Herron with eight. Also scoring were Braiden Taylor with six, Schriver with six, Kanyon Taylor with five, Lebsock with six, Asbeck with four, Kloker with four, Buxbaum with four, Paul Hardy with two, Gerit Johnson with two and Jesse Selting with two.
Scoring for Savage were Andrew Waldie with three and Bloesser with one.
