The R&L Fusion dropped both District 2C basketball games against MonDak on Friday.

In the girls’ contest, MonDak won by a 50-33 final margin.

The Thunder jumped out to a 13-8 lead in the first quarter and led 33-13 at the half.

Top scorer for the Fusion was Haley Olson with 18 points. Ella Robbins finished with eight points. Also scoring were Lauren Krenning with three, Isabelle Fatzinger with two and Laurel Sponheim with two.

Jenna Rust accounted for 25 of MonDak’s points. Also reaching double figures were Elizabeth Field with 12 and Katie Nielsen with 10 points.

MonDak’s boys gained a 14-4 lead in the first quarter and downed the Fusion by a 68-55 final.

The Thunder enjoyed a 36-19 half-time advantage.

Reaching double figures for the Fusion were Seth Prevost with 17, Grady Gonsioroski with 15 and Kyler Brown with 14 points.

Also scoring were Gabe Gonsioroski with four, Toby Clinton with three and Hunter Watson with two.

Leading MonDak were Owen Nelson with 19, Jack Solberg with 18 and Christian Melby with 10 points.
