Several volleyball games took place over the weekend.
Savage loses first home match to Wildcats
Savage lost to the visiting MonDak Thunder in four games with the scores 25-14, 23-25, 26-24, 25-20, on Thursday.
Savage had 21 assists, 27 kills, three blocks, 15 aces and 53 digs. Leaders for Savage were Lexi Joslin with 18 assists. Brynn Salsbury and Kiana Miller led in kills, both with eight. Soda Rice earned two of the three blocks for Savage. Salsbury and Emily Reynolds both had four aces and Ashlind Conradsen earned 15 of the 53 digs.
MonDak Thunder had 16 assists, 16 kills, seven blocks, 20 aces and 37 digs. Bailey Peterson led in assists with 11. Chelsea Berg led with eight kills and four blocks. Savannah Dean earned five of the 20 aces, and Farrah Garman led in digs with six.
R&L Fusion overpower Culbertson in three
R&L Fusion traveled to Culbertson and beat the team on the road in three games with the scores 25-13, 25-8, 25-19.
The Fusion had 17 kills, seven blocks, 14 aces and 72 assists. Individual leaders for the Fusion included Taylor Fink with seven kills. Shaye Johnston led with three blocks and 12 digs, and Brittany Whiteman earned seven of the 14 aces and 51 of the 72 assists.
Culbertson had 13 kills, two blocks, three aces, 45 digs and 12 assists. Leaders included Tessa Larsen and Renee Granada with three kills each. Granada also earned both of the blocks for the Cowgirls. Ashton Handy finished with two aces and 10 digs, and Abby Ator had eight of the 12 assists.
