Carmel Wright, high money earner for the Mid-Rivers Bakken Barrel Daze, on her horse PG Eye Bully Fame.

The eighth annual Mid-Rivers Communications Bakken Barrel Daze was a great success with fantastic weather. Over $15,000 was paid out over the weekend at the Richland County Fairgrounds in Sidney. Over 240 runs took place on the fast standard pattern, which was WPRA, NWBRA, UBRC, BBR and OBRA approved.

The big weekend winner was Carmel Wright aboard her great young horse PG Eye Bully Fame winning the Open 5D, WPRA and Seniors on Sat and placing well on Sunday for a weekend total of $1,975. Twelve-year-old Hadli Anderson on Eye Appeal Gold won close to $1,750 over the weekend winning the Sunday Open 5D and the youth both days. Carol Breuer won the Sun Netzer Law WPRA Sidepot on Streakin Firewater. Classic Equine sponsored great prizes for the top three in the average in each D.
