Two Montana State senior football players gained some preseason honors September 2.
Offensive lineman Lewis Kidd and buck end Amandre Williams earned Third Team Preseason All-America honors from STATS Perform.
Kidd has started the last 33 games at guard, eight away from the MSU career top 10 for that list, and Williams tied for second on the team with 65 tackles last season and 16 tackles-for-loss, as well as recording five sacks, which was third on the squad.
With Kidd’s help, MSU’s offensive line produced the most rushing yards and fewest sacks allowed in the Big Sky Conference in 2019. Williams also intercepted two passes, caused one fumble and recovered one fumble in 2019.
Last year, Kidd earned Second Team-All Big Sky honors, and Williams earned Third Team All-Big Sky honors.
Both players earned Third Team Preseason All-America honors from HERO Sports, and they each received Preseason First Team All-Big Sky Conference honors from Phil Steele, a highly respected college and professional football writer and analyst.
