In a contest involving two of the league’s top teams, Savage’s girls basketball team scored a 55-45 victory in Plentywood on Friday night.
The Warriors gained a 12-4 lead in the first quarter as Soda Rice accounted for seven points.
Savage increased its advantage to 30-18 in the second quarter. Kiana Miller scored six and Tyler Lien had five points in the period.
The Warriors held a 43-27 lead after three quarters of play. The closest that Plentywood came in the fourth period was the 10-point final spread.
Haylie Conradsen and Rice led Savage with 15 points each. Lien finished with 13 points. Also scoring were Miller with eight and Reghan Prevost with four.
Leading the Wildcats were Breanna Osksa with 17, LIv Wangerin with 13 and Ashtyn Curtiss with eight points.
